1000th visitor

I need suggestions on how to create a site that rewards for example the 1000th visitor or hit. or the 10th or 5000th visitor.... Probable pretty easy... right? I have a legitimate program that will let the winner actually collect a valuable prize... I need and accurate way to do this.

would anyone believe you though? I've been the 1,000,000 customer to many sites, possibly (although very doubtful) legit at least once. I've never ever wanted to go anywhere near any button which says "click here to claim your prize"

just make sure you have it as an annoying pop up that disables the rest of the site. make it shake around, flash brightly and give you an epileptic fit. while you are at it, add some background music

Phreadee's right. Users to this point have been trained to ignore anything that says they've won anything or they're x visitor.
