    Page look in different browsers

Suz offers a good suggestion. I use browsershots on occasion as well. Browsershots is good for reviewing how a site "looks" in different browsers, but I believe the most important thing is functionality -- which can/should only be checked manually, via web browser.

    Page look in different browsers

The best way is to manually test them. I suggest downloading Firefox, Opera, Safari, and MultipleIEs (so you can use IE6). ...and hell, why not try Google Chrome too.

    Forum Links

In theory, that might work. The only flaw is that all of the links on here are "nofollow", and therefore they have virtually no effect on PageRank because Googlebot completely ignores them.

Form so client can update website?

Anymore, what you are trying to do is usually handled by a form entering the information in to a database which is then queried using some type of in-page selector and displayed on a defined page. Using a form to generate HTML is a rarity unless it is database-driven. I cannot offer you any...

Please check out my site and offer some feedback

The main image at the top, in my opinion, is far too large. Though it is "neat," and rather intriguing, I think half the size would be better. I am using a somewhat higher resolution than most people generally use, and the image still takes up a good portion of the site's real estate...

    CSS Table is stretching text.

As you have aptly noted, changing the line-height property will modify the spacing between lines and can give you that "double-spaced" look. So for example, line-height: 2em; would give you exactly doubled-spacing. I suggest trying some variations, e.g., 1.7, 1.6, 1.5, etc. in order to get the...

Google Chrome: What do you say?

It uses source from a wide array of open source code such as Firefox and Safari. The official user-agent recorded from the browser is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/0.X.Y.Z Safari/525.13. Google has also opted to keep the...

How to get ie6 onto your new computer...

Just as a quick follow-up...if you have never heard of MultipleIEs, it is a great little program that allows you to run IE 3.0, 4.1, 5.5, and 6.0 all at the same time. Plus, it will not interfere with a current installation of IE7 or 8.

Google Chrome: What do you say?

I recently blogged a bit about my thoughts on the implications and possible results of Google's new web browser, Chrome. I am interested in your opinions on what I have said, and maybe some of your own thoughts on the subject. Either comment here or on the blog itself, I don't care, just...

    Next Trend in Web Design

The next trend in web design is less flash, more mobile. Flash websites are exactly that, "flashy." They are bad for search engine indexing, and though it is true that Google and other search engines are getting markedly better at indexing flash sites, they will most likely never be able to...
