If the new generation of Macbooks with Retina display has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 px and I design a website to be 2048 px wide, will that look enormous and go off screen on older Macbooks with the 1400 x 900 px displays?
Does this mean I'll need more @media queries...

I was wondering can somebody explain the difference between ../ and / in links? I thought for example ../files would go into a folder called "files" at the root level of your site and /files would go to a folder called "files" one step up from where the link is, but I seem to be getting...
ok so i tried that one. the good news is my page is now more complex than it was before. the bad news is the video still doesn't play on the android. go javascript!
And as a designer, do I care about interactivity? Maybe all I need is feedback. What would be an example of the difference?

Where is the best place to put global text attributes in CSS?
Say if you know you want all your text to have a line height of 175%, would you put this in the * reset element or what is the highest element that text properties inherit from? body?

I have a question.
All things being equal, assuming no z-index used, will an html element higher on the page ie closer to the head appear above or below a 'lower' element?
