I would suggest using some sort of beige for the background and using the dark olive as an accent color. If you wanted to use the purple or cantaloupe color, you could use them for hyperlink colors or something that's less of a focal point on the design.

The colors don't really go together as the other poster said. But a good thing about the site is the large photo which immediately conveys fitness to me...or at least weight loss. So I think you are good with conveying the theme.

That's very cool for a movie website! My only suggestion would be to keep the navigation expanded. There's a chance folks would miss it and not know how to navigate from one page to the other. :)

I like a lot about it! I like the navigation and the slider. My only criticism would be the footer. I would choose one alignment and do that for all three columns. Other than that, good job. :)

I like your logo! I also like the white on black text. Actually from what I have read, that is supposed to be more readable than the white on black that people THINK is more readable. I think you could improve by making the site more 2.0 in style because that is what you are advertising...

I love the font in the navigation! I also like the clean look. I wish there was maybe a LITTLE more use of color. The only other thing I would change is the picture in the slideshow. I think it's a little fuzzy...and while maybe that's intended bokeh, I don't think it's enough bokeh to show...

Thanks for this question & answer, fireproof! I have always been curious about this. I normally use the long urls for seo purposes. When I look at any analytics or stats for my site, most of my traffic comes from optimized images rather than links. Things that make you go hmmmmm....

LOL! True, true! I don't think it will be standard to the point of deprecating a bunch of older code. I just can't see the average small business continuing to revamp their site in this soft economy. But I am excited about HTML 5! :)

I had to MAKE myself use nothing but the Wacom for a month straight...to browse the net, to open files, etc. I wrapped my mouse and chord up and only used e Wacom. I got so used to it and then it got stolen with my laptop bag. I still miss it! :(

I really like the coffee cup in the middle but I think you could do without the coffee shape for the background. I don't like the font for the creative designs tagline. I would go with something less handwriting looking.

I concur with the other posters. You could also try resizing the mp that's by itself. I'm not sure I like it bigger than the other text. Just my two cents. :)

You could try putting "Design" above the word, "World" before it hits the "L"....kind of nested in there. But I like what you have here. :)

I didn't know Google was into hosting now. I wouldn't recommend using them though. I agree with the other posters. I would recommend Blue Host. The link is in my signature. :)
