    There's a lot going on! You could try to move the colum on the right to the left below the menu, so you have a little more space. I think that will relax the eye a bit more.

    The problem is that when you do overflow:hidden its not hidden if your on a ipad or iphone. And when your in Safari and you click(hold) and drag your mouse to the right it will show the content thats supposed to be hidden.

    You should just make a html page in dreamweaver and save as template, but make sure you keep the things open where you still want peaple to add content in. And css is pretty important for a website yes, without css it usually doesnt look that good.
