I would use them in fact I have done the same thing. Just make a very basic simple site with a little content and some links. I wouldn't spend to much time on it because it really wont help all that much cause the PR will be low but id say yeah go for it.

I like clickbank better for the most part but amazon definitely has it's places. Amazon has alot less earnings but all the people who click through from amazon links are pretty much primed to buy already when you sell a digital product from clickbank you have to do a fair amount of preselling

I use clickbank, commission junction, and amazon. The network doesnt matter that much though they are all just a list of products that all have different individual terms. What matters is the products you promote and your ability to promote them which is hard.

It would definitely be better if you kept track of whether the visitor pressed the button and if they had use a version of the same banner without the button. But its not drastically confusing to me so maybe not a big deal.
