this is a great video I appreciate it but it is not the case with all the wordpress blogs. There are plenty of wordpress blogs that aren't spamming the web and they are high quality and valuable blogs.

As Matt says in the video, BUT look past the idea that it is "Wordpress only". What he is telling you applies to ABSOLUTELY ANY WEBSITE whether it is Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, vBulletin, Invision, SMF, Pligg, Moodle, a 'wiki', blog, forum, hand coded in notepad or WHATEVER. It starts off with WordPress because he is talking about the mechanics of building a site that is 'crawlable' and accessible. Beyond that, the advice on content, copywriting, word research, and providing what USERS WANT is applicable across the whole spectrum of website management.

Your short sighted view of "It's about WordPress" is precisely why so many "experts" are complete clowns at Search Marketing, simply because they FAIL to see the bigger picture and concentrate solely on the minutiae of the mechanical aspect of "search engine friendly" websites.

Hi chris,
I've been building a nice big brick wall today.
feel free to bash your head against it.
:D

ps my lack of quality speedy internet at home caused me to bail at around 2:30min.
all I got was "posting pictures of cats on the internet is good"

well we all know that's the true way to the top with SEO. cats/cat memes ARE the internet.

eg.

It's not exactly breaking news but there's still plenty of buttheads who still want to try and get to the top using techniques from the 90's. I like this post from 2011 which pretty much sums it up.

I find it hard to believe that this video or anything with a time stamp from 2009 would ever be considered "the best advise ever" in 2013 considering the constant evolution of the web and search engines.

Good advise... sure, best advise... not so sure

Actually; if you followed that advice, you NEVER need to care about "updates" or search engine 'evolution', because what you do, and have been doing is EXACTLY what search engines have ALWAYS wanted you to do.

Thank you for your video.
I need an advice especially now, because my website has drop down on Google index.
