Hello World Design is donating a website to The Oregon Public House: the world's first non-profit pub!
I'd say the site is about 80% complete at this point.. and you can get a pretty good idea of how it is going to turn out. The missing parts should be pretty obviously still-in-progress..
What do you guys think?

Here's the development link: helloworlddesignco.com/oph

thanks!

I noticed on my mobile device Nexus 4 the supersized kind of bounces around while scrolling... not sure if anything can be done about that and doesn't really bother me so. Other than that it looks great in portrait and landscape.

I do have a question about your mobile detection not sure if you want to discuss that or not but if you do your more than welcome to send me a pm... I was just curious why you make a separate css file for mobile rather than doing the conditional statements in main css file.

i'm using css media queries instead of some kind of other conditional.. so you're right, having this as 2 separate files in totally optional. just easier to navigate for me this way.. personal preference.

i've noticed the supersized(the full-size background images/slideshow) jumping as well, and i think it is because the address bar at the top is actually hidden once you scroll down on many mobile devices to give you more room to browse.. giving you a jump in viewport size. iphone does the same thing..

thanks for the feedback as always guys!

slight issue, maybe

the menu is all I see above the fold.. when I click any of your links the page changes, but above the fold all I see is the main black (large) menu, I have to scroll down to see the page content.

alright, so I somewhat found the issue- when I shrink my browser display (control -) the menu jumps to the left side and I see the site in its intended glory- however, you may want to do some resolution testing and see what happens - on small resolutions/browser window displays, the menu goes to the top of the site (and is huge) -

im on my laptop with resolution of 1366 x 768 -

Im not to term savvy as I dont think I have utilized the proper term to describe exactly what I am seeing, but I am fairly certain there are going to be others who have this same problem.

thanks webstudent123, i always appreciate feedback.
This is a decision i made during development. If your viewport height becomes smaller than what can fit the leftside navigation.. you are shown the mobile styles. You shouldn't be seeing this, even on a 768, if your browser is maximized.

Please let me know if this is not the case.. I might consider moving the blog link to the social media icons.. would give me a chance to use the blog icon i made. You designers should be able to get behind this too!

Please take 10 seconds to read about it here: http://helloworlddesignco.com/web-design-news-portland-oregon.php?pid=1

cheers forum!

I thinks its great but im not sure about the gigantic green box. If you need to keep it, maybe make it a little transparent

maybe make it a little transparent
Transparency is like unique, an object IS transparent or it isn't.

Varying degrees of transparency as refered to by the opposite end of the scale, which is opaque, and called opacity.

The site design is excellent. I like it.
I think from a practical perspective, it would be nice to see a small image of the outside of the building and maybe a small map showing their location.
