I largely have been an affiliate marketer for the previous 5 years, during that time ive gathered some web design experience. Long story short, ive decided to get into web design. In an effort to make me look more professional Ive created a business website.

Im looking for some reviews and suggestions. Im still quite amateurish, and I think its largely because of my lack of graphic design skils.

here ya go

right of the bat your logo is a non-professional looking - you may want to sit down with a graphic designer.. I imagine though that you are not far as the logo is a good start, good concept, just looks amateurish.
ideas: loose the red, or change the bg (to a lighter grey)- use the link somewhere inside the words, something smart- or shrink the link symbol and put a square behind it-

to the right- your menu font is horrible.. im guessing bold times new roman? bad bad, go with calibri, tahoma, helvitica, something else really -
your menu looses a link on the contact page

slider: should be navigatable.. either add a border, make it 3d or change your main gradient it is atop to white -

footer: your company name should be next to the copyright-

Contact: loose the 'budge' input, bad form

Projects: If you are really trying to sell your services you need to either drop the link to the 'lol' website, or not include it all together-

Herb Research is a unique website. The website contains a wordpress blog on a sub directory. The blog has been incorperated into the website for a seamless transition. What makes this so special? We incorperated a wordpress blog with an HTML based website. The most recent blog post titles are also posted onto the Herb Research home page.
