Hello all, I am desperately trying to wrap my head around this business card I am trying to create. I hope this isn't in the wrong section. I am attempting to start-up a photo restoration site and I am more of a editor and not a creator so I don't have the necessary creative juice to figure out the fonts or word placement if anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

If you need the site its www.ipictureperfect.com

lol if you're not a designer how did you get the job or why did you accept it? :)

that medical idea just seems a bit tacky - take some cues from their website and aim for something classier and simpler. consider using the background from their website for the card.

excellent font source http://www.fontsquirrel.com/ either a nice looking sans-serif to give the impression of a clean modern quick service, or a serif font to imply professional care of treasured memories

oh and their logo on the card ;)

Lol, when I saw flatlining I chuckled a little - I once fell through a balcony window and scraped my face along the floor. Now I'm forever held to the name 'flatliner' (as in stupid).

Anyhow, not really feeling the design. I would definitely liked to have seen something a little relevant to the service - for example a photo that is in need of restoration on one side, and on the other, the restored photo. Providing it's black and white, and dark (ish), one should have no problem reading the card if white text is used. :)

use lucida grande (like your logo?) and web page text and maybe something to contrast like dancing script (fontsquirrel free font)
something along the lines of
picture-perfect-buscard.jpg

if you need to list your services then you could do that on the back

just repeat the logo then (no bride on the back) and list them underneath in an easy to read group

You don't need to pitch the company on the card, because chances are if someone has the card, they already encountered a pitch in some way.

May I suggest a basic duotone card with the websites already established colours on an abrasive form of card stock—for a lack of a better term? This will convey profession, cleanliness and relate to old photos, it wins so easily on several levels.

A business card's purpose is to really say "This is who I am, contact these addresses for more info" and no more.

Continuity is of primary importance, blah blah blah, you should probably hire a designer or at least see what other companies are doing because "When in Rome".
