Dog treat site and online store

Alright, 2 sites, one post. Both are tied to each other, though.

First is Pupolicious - www.pupolicious.com - a website for a dog treat you bake at home (by the way, the treats are quite tasty and human-edible :)). It's very art-heavy, but the boss likes it, so I went with it. Mobile version works, but could use some more TLC. Uses a lot of screen real estate, too, but once again, boss likes the art.

Second is one that isn't quite as good. It's an online store that carries Pupolicious. www.spoiledpetworld.com

This was my first foray into online store design, and it was rough. I don't care much for 3dcart, but it worked well in other areas, so we went with it. Wishing we had instead went with Shopify; it's templating system was a dream.

Hoping to do a redesign of SPW in the future. For now, this "works", though.

Thanks!

www.pupolicious.com - takes quite a long time to load, anyway you can reduce the amount of images used? or reduce there size?

Sadly, with the art being what it is, I had to get really clever with alpha transparent PNGs. I used Optipng pretty heavily throughout the site to reduce the load times, but it obviously still takes some time.

Having a quicker loading site will be the goal of a redesign. Hopefully some time after the product is built up a bit, when I have time to work out a design that works for the boss and works for the world :)

You are right, second one I don't like. It is too generic and not specially interesting.

First website I like tough, altough there is space for improvements. I didn't like silver background, and honestly there is too much graphics there.

It didn't take too long for me to load. I like the second site, spoiledpetworld.com more than the first one, pupolicious.com is kinda boring.

phebeH3462: I just recently redesigned Pupolicious.com, so it's hopefully looking a lot better than the previous :)
