Trying to varify link partners by hand

Hi-
I am trying to verify link partners using google's SITE command to search for "Ken's" on certain websites. I found a website that has my text link but when I used Ken's site:XXXXXXX.com/ the search came up empty. I can pick up the text with a find text search on the webpage (ctrl F) but site command dosn't see the text. I checked for nofollow and such but nothing came up.

Any ideas why the site command misses obvious text?
Thanks

Can you post the exact search query that you are entered?! :)

Basically this command should work for you, for text of any kind, plain or links. For example:

"site:www.smoovo.com design"

Will give you results of our website on each time the word "design" is appear. ;)

Hi-
Sorry I have been away

The exact command I tried was:
ken's site:bobswoodcrafts.com/ The text Im searching for is:"Ken's Wooden Toys"

I tried the site command on the homepage and on the links page with no luck.
This link text text is on the link page:
bobswoodcrafts.com/linkmachine/resources/resources_woodworkers.html

I also tried site:bobswoodcrafts.com/ ken's and all kinds of combination but no luck. I can go to the link page and do a text search and the text comes right up

I see your sitemap.xml file, and your page is located in it. If you are using Webmaster Tools by Google, see if there is any crawling errors. Check how many pages you have to crawl and how many did. If there was an error, check which pages and why, fix it all. you can resubmit your XML sitemap right away and check again.

If there is no results by Google, it means that your page isn't been crawled.

- Good Luck. :)

Thank you for the info. I am trying to verify my link on other sites. You may have solved the problem. I guess my link on Bob's site has not been added to google yet.
