microsoft frontpage
and macromedia dreamweaver (though a bit pricey) are the two most popular software packages on the market. If you are studying, they should have something available that you could use.

Ok if I buy frontpage or dreamweaver will I need both? I am not in school for this. Ok so lets say I design the page then what do I do, I was looking at go daddy for a domain name that I want but would I need a server or could everything be hosted on that site? I am clueless so bare with me. This site is what I want my store to be competing with www.backwaterbowfishing.com

- No, you wont need both - one or the other is fine.
- You will need a domain AND someone to host it. I believe Godaddy does hosting as well but im not sure. Most of the time when you purchase a hosting plan a domain comes free with it.
- Personally, I use 1and1.com - 10 bucks a month with 3 free domain names.
- Just to let you know, for a store you will also need some kind of payment processer and gateway

I've never used Dreamweaver before, but I heard that it was one of the best.

You should use it, ;)

I'd say go with Dreamweaver for general web development. It writes the best error free code and has lots of add-ons you can install for it. However, if all you want to do is design a simple website with a few links here and there, most free sites like Joomla, Drupal & Wordpress make setting up & designing a website and managing your content pretty easy. The customization of your website's template is somewhat limited if you don't know any HTML or CSS, but is enough to make it look unique. You can then point a custom domain name to that hosted site or blog.

Buy DreamWeaver first, you will need script editor and FTP manager. This software includes design window like FrontPage, so one software is enough.

As for the domain/hosting, just download WampServer, it's free. You can host your projects on your PC, and work like it's online.

When you have it ready, go to GoDaddy, buy domain and hosting, setup the connection, and upload your files.

- Enjoy. :)

I would vote for Dreamweaver. It is easy to use and learn. You get can easily the hang of it in no time. Portable version of it can be downloaded online.
