How Has AI Search Changed Your SaaS SEO Strategy?

It seems like SaaS buyers are no longer relying solely on Google—they're also discovering products through AI assistants, Reddit, and AI-generated search results. Have you changed your SEO strategy to account for AI search visibility (GEO/AEO), or are traditional SEO tactics still delivering the best ROI for your business?

Jumping in on this older post because this topic is more relevant than ever. I’ve personally shifted about 30% of my content budget toward answering questions for AI assistants and summarizing Reddit threads. The buyers I talk to almost never start with Google anymore—they ask ChatGPT or Perplexity first. Have you tried repurposing your existing blog posts into shorter, question-focused snippets for these tools? That’s been my biggest win so far for keeping ROI steady.

I shifted part of my budget toward making content that answers conversational voice queries, and I saw better engagement than with pure keyword targeting. For keeping up with how people discuss products on social platforms, I casually use https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1TcoFcdpqV/ to see real buyer conversations and sentiment, which feeds directly into my AEO work. Traditional SEO still works for bottom-of-funnel searches, but top-of-funnel visibility now requires a mix of formats.
