the biggest thing about the web 2.0 deal in my opinion is a change in coding style. many professional web designers and developers no longer use conventional html for their layouts. instead they use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
The thing that is funny to me about all this is that most of the technologies that web 2.0 is composed of have been around for years now. at the forefront being DHTML. this includes html, css, javascript, DOM and ajax to name a few. personally, i feel that talking of web 2.0 is retarded. new technologies are born on the web and for the web every day. so why is this change worthy of the 2.0 tag line? |
