What is a "mechanical keyboard"?

Or are you asking about 'proper' keyboards instead of those 'squidgy' keyed 'membrane' apologies for keyboards?

Bet you can't guess which ones I prefer (and use) :)

Recommendations:

Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 had one for ten years (wireless), it's been used every day since then.

Yes I mean the proper keyboards Chris. I've got a Logitech K120 but some of the keys have stopped working. I will have a look at the Microsoft one you recommend.

I may get a new mouse too.
