Newbie needs help!!!!

Hi you guys,

I am a newbie. I want to register a domain. But I am in trouble with:

1/ How to register a domain.
2/ How much the fee for this domain, and how long it will be expired?
3/ And I think it will not online for now but I want somebody knows that is potential website to visit in future.

So I think you guys will have recommendation to help me out of this. Thanks in advance :)

To register a domain name, go to any web registry and check to see if your desired name is available, and then purchase. Although it isn't necessary, it will make things a lot easier if you purchase the domain from the same sight that you want to have your hosting done through, unless you plan to host your own site. I personally use godaddy.com, and the fee for a .com name is 9.99/year, or 1.99/year if you purchase a hosting plan at the same time. As far as when it expires: as long as you keep renewing it, the site will be yours forever.
