Pitfalls of changing my Host?

I'm going to change my hosting company soon but I didnt design my site and I am not very technically minded can anyone advise me on anything I need to check before moving? When a site is moved can it sometimes not work correctly with the new host- if so, what types of issues can come up? Thanks

if i remember correctly, your site was pretty much plain html. as long as you have all the files to upload to the new server, you should be alright.

Depending on what kind of service you had. Like cpanel you can backup your files then upload them to a new host. Without losing any databases

the only pitfall will be the mandatory downtime during domain propagation. Just be sure that your site is functioning as should internally on the new server your site will be on after propagation.
