Default is java programming still relevant ?

hi there,

is java programming still relevant when one can set up a webpage using dreamweaver?

Sure java programming is still relevant. Dreamweaver has support for java, php, asp among other web programmng languages. Web development has seen great strides in the last few years and as a consequence java doesn't have the field almost to itself anymore but it's still a major player in many websites.
