What CMS would you recommend?

Greetings to everyone. I am thinking about buying CMS for my site. All i want is a good system for a reasonable price... or for free :) Please do not STFI me. I did look around the internet, however most of the stuff I found was either crap, or expensive, or sometimes expensive crap :). My question is basically if someone has used or is using a CMS I would really appriciate your replies and short comments about the product. That would really help out a lot...
