Newbie needs some advice

Hello all

I am pretty new to web design and im looking to design my own site. This will need to include a database for a large number of peoples information that will be password protected. The site will be constantly updated by people adding their information to it. I will also need to have some sort of program for people to pay for services from me on the site.(Paypal?). I was just looking for some advice on what software to use for this. Is there a complete package that will do all of these things? Thankyou.

There should be an off the shelf script for what you are trying to achieve, but hard to comment on without knowing what type of site it will be and what information it will store. You may want to take a look through http://www.hotscripts.com/ and see if you can find something that suits your needs.

I suggest you code it yourself. Thats how i'd do it anyway.
