How to Personalise My forum ???

I have a question that I'm stuck at, Any help would be very greatful,

Ive set everything else up, Using a free template for now, though i would like to build my own template or Personalise one, How can i go about this?? The forum software I'm using at the moment is phpBB,

most changes can be done via your control panel.
You can usually edit the colors in your control panel, as well as the header and footer.
You can also upload new button images via ftp to overwrite your old one, but for advice on custom skinning the forum, you would probably get a better response at the phpbb forums http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewforum...59283026b563d3

I usually start with downloading the default template and playing around with it. Making a new template is a bit fiddly and time consuming but can be done.

I'm a bit lazy when it comes to forum templates. I usually just find an existing template layout I like and reskin it with my own images. Making them new, as suz said, is a bit fiddly. I like posting on forums but running them is the pits to me so I don't do many unless a customer wants one. Not many do because most of them are business oriented and don't want or need a forum.
