Default Where to buy a domain name?

Where can I buy a domain name besides godaddy? I created an account there and bought a domain name. A week later their fraud department emailed me that they deleted my account and refunded my money to my credit card. This was not only a shock to me, but made me feel like I was being treated like a criminal, for absolutely no reason at all. They said that the information I gave them had discrepencies. That's a bunch of bull. I had that credit card for over 10 years and never had a problem until I dealt with these asses. When I contacted them to say what the hell, they told me that they would reinstate me if I mailed them a copy of my driver's license. I was so mad, that I not only told them to kiss my ass, there's no way in hell I'm sending them a copy of my driver's license, but that they had better made sure that my payment was refunded to my credit card, or else. There's no way I'm doing business with those dickh*@!$ ever again. So where can I buy a domain name from, besides godaddy?

Wow, that's quite the opposite experience I've been having with GoDaddy. For me, they've been great and I now do all my web business through GoDaddy hosting. They've been very reliable for me as they have 24/7 live service by telephone or email.

Just last night actually, I had to call GoDaddy around 12 midnight for a system error that occurred with my website. Thanks to the 24/7 service, I was able to get through to them within 8 minutes. All they did was ask for my customer number, name, and web address of concern. I then explained my issue and they resolved it just like that after a little bit of research.

Great staff they have. I haven't come across any knobs yet.

Default 1&1 works for me

I have been using 1&1 (1and1.com) for over a year and have loved it.

They offer reasonably priced domains as well as hosting services.

I have yet to have any problems.

As an experienced webmaster, I highly recommend BlueHost which I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements.

Default Alternatives to GoDaddy

Sorry to hear about your issues with GoDaddy, I've never had a problem with them and I'm very pleased with the service I'm being provided.

Some of the better alternatives will be:

Code:
eNon - http://www.enom.com/
Network Solutions - http://www.networksolutions.com/
Wild West Domains - http://www.wildwestdomains.com/
