The first thing that you really have to keep in mind is the content of your blog. The other issues such as the lay-out and search engine optimization stuff are just secondary. You really have to make a good post. It has to be informative, creative and interesting for the readers. After doing that, then you can focus to your page lay-out and other factors.

I think the most important thing is the unique content. You can’t go wrong with building constant and useful content. If you manage to do that, you’ll have new people coming in on all directions, through the word of mouth, linkage, bookmarks etc. And social media… this is my personal favorite blog promotion method and it may just be the best.
