We are purchasing a company and along with it we get the website. this website has a row across the top for 7 different language options.
In the actual website file structure there are 7 folders 1 for each language. In each folder is about 10 different HTLM files. So essentialy we have approx 70 pages in different languages, for the same information. Example there are 7 indentical contact pages each in a different language. This Website was created many years ago. My question is... is it necessary to have all these different pages? Don't modern web browsers automaticaly translate the pages? Brian |

I don't think I've heard of a browser that would automatically translate the page, unless the user had some special plugin installed. Otherwise there would be no need for Google's translation tools. If you've ever used one of those translation tools you know they will never be as good as a person who knows the language translating it.
