The same things that will help you rank well in google, will also help you rank well in other search engines. Some of the other smaller engines place a higher importance on certain factors over others, for instance on keywords in the domain name, the quality of the inbound links, etc

Each of the search engines have their own algorithm [a way of linking, defining links adn processing links]. So if you search engine optimise your site for google it will rank well in Google, but sometimes if you concentrate more so on one search engine then another you tend to rank better in the search engine that you were not intentionally aiming at ranking in.

There are many myths with search engine ranking..but your best bet is getting a solid content base and building links..

Yes, both are used by Google and Yahoo.

Good day to everybody! I think, each search system has its own strategy of site positioning and if your site has, for example, first place in MSN, it doesn't mean it will has the same place in other search system.

I recommend you chose one of them and direct on it. If you direct on all of them you will get absolutely no profit from that.

I would like to suggest you to be sure to create and include Meta tags on every page. Also you should try to exchange link with high page rank site which will certainly get more traffic in your site!
