Default Constant Video Loop

Hello,
Does anyone have any ideas how I would go about doing this:
I want to make a page with a video that is about 4 hours long that is constantly looping. When a user goes to the page it will just be playing - so no clicking play, no skipping, no pausing - and the video will be at the same point at any given time worldwide. Does that make sense? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

lol. Doubt there's a free way to do something like that. You'd hafta go custom or maybe for pay. I know it's possible, since that's how ESPN3 streams sports and CSPAN streams their networks. Probably with a custom Java or Flash setup.

The term "streaming" has been taken over by video that starts playing before it's completely downloaded. So I tried doing a search for "Video Broadcasting on a website" and it returned some options that you may want to check out.

Thank you for your replies. I've done some looking into it but not really found a good solution. Presumably it would be a lot easier if I drop the worldwide synchronization aspect, which it looks like i might have to do for now.
Any ideas on how to have a video loop that starts playing at a random position when the page is opened?

maybe four hours is a little too long, you could make a looping video about your site in brief about 15 minute video, try not to bore people so they would always want to see more, keep them wondering don't give it all up at once
good luck

Well its actually 25 ten minute videos but I want it to be the sort of thing you dip in to. It doesn't matter if you miss the start of one. I want it to be like turning on the tv basically.

why don't you just have the 25 10 minute videos set up to start randomly rather than lumping them all into one.

as for TV, I HATE starting halfway through a show. I dont care if i've missed 90% of the series, but that show, right now, that I have tuned into watch, I want to see from the start...

Fact:
the majority of your visitors will stay for less than a minute.
if your videos are enthralling you should give the user the ability to pick and choose. not define that for them...if they can pick which of the 25 they want to see after being captivated in the first minute then its good, if you force them to site through 8 more minutes of something they are not interested in to see the next installment. resentment, (and probably facebook, twitter, or google) have got the better of that user now. they are gone...
