I need some help with charging for web site. I did two web sites for a customer.
But both of them are same design just some details like text and one picture is changed. they are on different domain names. So to make the second one took little time. The thing is I charge per page and how much work is on them not by hour. So I have no idea how much to charge for the second one. Can't be same amount as the first because I used the same design so it's not fair. What do you think? Tell me please. For example if I charge 100 EUR for home page and 80 EUR for subpages how much should I charge for the second copied site? |

How many pages and subpages are on each one? If you charge more for one of them you can say the second one is essentially free because it's a duplicate. What if you charge like 800 for the entire package? That assumes there are only a couple subpages in each one, but it averages out to 400 a site. If each site has 5 pages, that's 80 per sub-page. Seems fair enough - actually it's what you said. Then they don't see it as you charging for both, it's just a 2-site package. 400 for a site is really nothing considering they could be paying $100 an hour to a real design firm.
