It would be great if you'll share your work here!

do this in photoshop and use the unsharp mask on it afterwards (check f1 help files on how to use unsharp mask) but careful you don't overdo it

Seriously? You're a designer and you don't know the answer to this question? Sigh..such is the industry I guess. Anyways create your pre-treatment file in adobe illustrator, then commit your file to photoshop for effects and treatment. Spluh.

Lightbulb Here's an idea..

Do you have a picture of it?

If it's just text, why do you need to create a graphic? You can create a simple <div> tag with whatever colored background you want, make it the size you want, and change the text size using HTML and CSS. In browsers that can handle it, you can add drop shadows and your background-box can have rounded corners without you having to waste time using 10 different tools.

This will only work if it's fairly plain and simple, but if it's just text it's one more thing search engines will see! If you're printing it then of course you want a graphic version of it, but why not both. Just remember to add an 'alt' tag if it IS an image.
