Default To Redirect Or Not...

I run a website selling "widgets" (let's call this SITE A) and recently aquired another business that sells widgets. (let's call this SITE B). Site A has lots of hits/traffic and site B has less traffic but is well ranked.

I am currently redesigning the look for both sites and wondered if I should make 1 site "merging" both site's products/services (which would probably be site A) or if I should keep both sites in tact and looking the same and let the traffic flow as it's been in the past.

Regardless I would make sure that all the pages that are ranked in search engines are properly redirected to site A.

It would be best to merge them.. But put the new content in the old pages and archive the old ones..

the color combination of site should be such that the additional glare or pressure in not present , use of faint colors is better.
