Default Specialist link building advice needed.

Specialist link building advice needed.

After the Panda algorithm overhaul, getting the QUALITY of links has become more important than ever.

Thanks to sufficiently interesting/useful content on my site http://www.boiler-breakdown-repair-london.co.uk I can find webmasters that are happy to link to me.

The main question is:

The searchterms that are most used to find my site do NOT lead to the pages that are most popular for links from other sites.

What is the most effective way of getting page homepage/b up in the rankings
if homepage/e is most popular for webmasters?

Should I get them to link to my home page?

What is the influence of a link to homepage/e on the ranking of homepage and homepage/a ?

Is there likely to be a “loss” if links are heavily favoured on 10% of the website compared to a more even spread?

Who worries?
The question was effectively: what is best/most effective since the Panda update?
1. Most/all links to homepage
2. Most/all links to well ranking 2nd tier
3. Even spread
4. Most/all to 3rd tier or even deeper

If your home page is more important anf get high pr on it, then you have to set it's priority as 1. so when google crowler came, it review first page at first site.

Links hold the internet together. Without links between sites there would be no internet. Likewise in SEO they are the most important part by far even more so than on-page optimisation. If your website is competing in a competitive sector and you do not have backlinks to your website then you will quite simply not rank on the first page of Google.

That is just plainly not true.

This is no answer to my question.

Not only does my latest project come up on the first page, it comes up at first place out of 600,000 returns. Anyone geographically near London will find my website when searching for "emergency gas leak repair london"
How do you explain that?

I agree that getting quality backlinks has become more important these days and the reason seems to be search engines are getting more smarter and smarter and I think it is not the direct effect of Panda.
