well, I assume you may get some offers from designers here. If you do not, you can try crowd-sourcing the logo.That is, in a crowdsourcing website you would call for your logo to be designed. Many artists will compete for the design, and you choose which logo you like best.
Crowdsourcing = professional work + low price

 you can find royalty free clip-art online for free... but it tends to come out looking like that's what you used :S |

well, for starters, you can try getting the logo a bigger size.. .its just too small.. .imho.. .also, i think can scout the net for inspiring logo.. .corporate ones.. .
