Yes, very well explained. I'm sure this article will be used as a reference many times in this forum.
I have found it extremely important to use background colors to keep an eye on what each block is doing. Then once the layout is looking nice you can remove the colors. |

I usually use outline. I also usually don't think of it until there's already an issue I need to troubleshoot.
