How to make facebook show a certain image relating to my site

Hello,

I've added facebook like buttons to my pages on my new site.

I've noticed that the image facebook shows up can be anything from a relevant image to an image taken from my nav section.

I've tried entering the img_src meta and also the og:image meta in the head section but they do not work.

Does anyone know the best way to fix this issue?
