what is the difference between <br> and </ br> tag?
To make standards compliant HTML, every tag that is opened should be closed. Since the br tag does not have any data between its opening and closing tags then the closure should be indicated at the end of the tag as shown above. Any other points?

Syntax difference between xhtml and html. Phreaddee is right though.
<br> for html <br/> for xhtml html 5 allows the use of either. |
