Firefox & Internet Explorer: I view my site diffrently
After designing my sites on dreamweaver and i go to my browser to preview i see that the site doesnt occupy the whole length of the screen. Sometimes, the banner is much longer than the body and its giving me cause for serious concern.Help

Would need a link to the site to really help with this. My guess is that your html or css is somehow invalid (mismatched tags, mismatched parenthesis, etc), likely near the banner area.
Firefox is pretty forgiving and will figure out and correct your mistakes... IE on the other hand doesn't deal with incorrect code nearly as gracefully.
