Dear Forum,
Thank you in advance for your help, suggestions or comments. All are welcome to reply, even if you're not working in the drilling industry. You can view the current website here: hollypipe.com I built this website about a year ago knowing very little about web dev/design, but I've learned a lot since then and want to do it right this time. This is a mock up of the new website home page: docs.google.com I would like to get some opinions on organizing the industry terminology for an accessible and logical navigation of the website. Below I have included a rough draft outline of the product and service categories as they will appear in the site map and navigation. Drilling Tubulars: -Drill Pipe -Drill Collars -Heavy Weight Drill Pipe -Wash-over Pipe Casing Drill Stem Subs: -Kellies -Tool Joints -Crossover Subs & Adapters -Stabilizers NST Machine Shop: -Drill String Design -Manual & CNC Machining -Welding Inspection Services: -Nondestructive Testing -Pipe Rattling & Cleaning -Pull Testing Are there any keywords that you think are missing? Are the categories organized and understandable? Is there anything you would change to improve the navigation/ux? Which industry category would best describe Holly Pipe? (ex.) Drilling Tools and Services Directional Drilling Equipment and Services Well Drilling Tools and Services Borehole Drilling Equipment and Services Drilling Tubulars, Inspection and Machine Shop Drill Pipe, Tubular Inspection, Subs, CNC Machining Any marketing strategies for diversification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. |
