Default someone help

I know this seems like such a n00b question but here is my situation.

Alright. I have a website I'm working on. It's two colors. Right side is white, left side is blue. Now, I thought it be easier to have a background image do this for me, so I did that, but NOW all of my div layers move when I resize the window. I need my layers to stay with the background image, because the content over each color is mandatory, it cannot move. Please tell me the best way to conquer this.

post your code.

are you using fixed widths for the divs?

what makes it easier to use an image for the background colours?
